(moving a heavy hospital chair)
Wonderful Wife: “Oww.”
Little Miss Thing, age 6: “What’s wrong, Mama?”
WW: “Oh, I think I just strained a muscle in my arm a little.”
LMT: “Would it help if you rubbed my foot?” (sticks foot in air)
WW: “Uhh… yes. Yes, it would. How did you know?”
LMT: “I’m smart.”
I’m loving my son getting excited about reading my old, yellowed copies of Encyclopedia Brown mysteries. The books still have my name written on the inside cover in my mom’s handwriting. I might cry I’m so proud and happy.
That’s normal, right?
Happiness is your child being so excited about a book they are reading that they follow you around until you sit down so they can read it out loud to you.
