My Wonderful Wife: “You kids are going to Parent’s Night Out on Saturday.”
Little Miss Thing (age 5): “Why?”
WW: “So Daddy and I can go on a date.”
LMT: “Why?”
WW: “So we can spend time together and see a movie.”
LMT: “WHY?”
WW: “Because we love each other and like spending time together.”
LMT: “Without US?”
Me: “Your pajamas are on backwards.”
Little Miss Thing, age 5: “No they aren’t.”
Me: “Yes, they are. I can see the tag sticking out in front under your chin.”
LMT: “These aren’t my pajamas.”

Me: “You win.”
Me: “You are not in charge of your brother.”
Little Miss Thing, age 5: “I know I’m not in charge. I just tell him things to do. And he has to do them.”
