I got to run another kid LARP today at the 8th birthday party of the daughter of our best friends. Everyone involved had a pretty good time. The kids are always a hoot and I’m learning that few things make me happier than showing kids that you don’t have to stop playing pretend when you grow up.

I find a strange amount of joy in My Oldest Girl taking boffer swords to her friend’s party to “teach all those girls how to sword fight… FOR REAL.”
True Bludgeon
Planning a kid-friendly LARP in my head. Trying to water down the mechanics so that anyone can pick it up fairly quickly. Kinda like True Dungeon, but with actual boffer combat. I’m thinking of calling it True Bludgeon. (trademark in the works)
