Me: “No way you’ll be bored! I’ll be telling lots of funny stories and jokes.”
LMT: “Yeah, that’s what I mean.”

Me: “Have you brushed your teeth yet?”
Little Miss Thing, age 7: “Yes.”
Danger Monkey, age 10: “No.”
Me: “Well, go do it right now, mister.”
DM: “Hey, where is the toothpaste?”
LMT: “I don’t know. I couldn’t find any.”
Me: “I thought you brushed your teeth?”
LMT: “Sometimes water is good enough.”
Me: “Uh… No.”
Me: “I’m so proud that you kids are growing up and ordering full size entrées. It’s a big deal to move up from kids meals. It’s so cool to watch you mature into young adults with growing bodies and big appetites.”
