So… My Oldest Girl is in the hospital with pneumonia which hopefully is not complicated with her heart stuff. Her Mom and I are staying in shifts and she seems pretty stable. The last 24 hours were pretty rough. Looks like at least another day in here, maybe two. No visitors please. Sorry!

New Monia, pt. 3
Well, the bacterial infection has spread to her bloodstream, which is bad for a girl with a heart problem. So at least one more day and maybe more. Sigh. She’s now officially contagious so no kid visitors and adults have to wear masks. Calls and cards much appreciated.
Pushed Back
I am happy to announce the girl’s heart stenonis has not grown very much since her last checkup, so they don’t think she’ll need surgery any time soon. Still will probably need heart surgery. Just not in 2009. So… that feels like a victory, right? Or at least a breather.
