Hey… The Wanamaker Old Settlers street fair was actually pretty cool. Lots of food, plenty of stuff for the kids, free petting zoo, and $3 pony rides. I think we’ll try to make it again next year. The cloudy weather was perfect. Kept us cool and the threat of rain kept the crowds away.

Driving and trying to find parking for the fair.
Danger Monkey, age 4: “Why aren’t we parking yet?”
Me (much older than 4): “Because I’m not totally sure where we are.”
DM: “Then look at the map on your phone.”
Me: (long pause) “That’s not a bad idea.”
Weakened
This is the first weekend in recent memory where we don’t have anything scheduled. And the last free weekend for a long time. So we’re trying to take advantage. Slept in, made a fun breakfast, went to the gym, went to the pool, went to a favorite restaurant; now we’re all going to take naps. I could use more Saturdays like this.
