Gen Con Weddings!

Hey folks! I’m doing a thing!

To help celebrate the 50th year of everyone’s favorite giant gaming convention, the Very Vocal Viking will be performing Weddings and Vow Renewals at Gen Con this year! There are individual ceremonies offers and I’ll be doing a very big and very fun mass wedding/vow renewal in the Union Station Grand Hall right before the Saturday night dance. Check out the link to read more about all the fun.

Very Vocal Viking presents: Gen Con 50 Weddings and Vow Renewals

Most of it will just be for fun, and I may possibly be dressed as a Viking, maybe even Hagrid. But, since I’m a licensed officiant in Indiana, I could possibly even have an actual wedding or two! You never know. Gen Con is a magical place.

Location, Location, Location

Me: “How was your role playing game?”

Danger Monkey, age 10: “Awesome! In the game I built a giant robot that’s 45 stories tall and I can make it do anything from the control room in his head.”

Me: “Cool. How do you get to a control room that’s 45 stories up?”

DM: “It has stairs inside.”

Me: “Wow! What a climb.”

DM: “It’s OK. I installed a lemonade stand about half way up.”

Me: “That’s — very creative.”

DM: “It also serves hot chocolate and Caprese salad.”

Me: (long pause)

Me: “You’re a pretty amazing guy, you know?”

DM: “Yeah, I know.”

Demerits

My Oldest, age 16: (singing)

Danger Monkey, age 10: “That song’s annoying. Stop singing.”

MO: (sings louder)

DM: “OK, then you lose 10 points.”

MO: “What points?”

DM: “You just lost 10 points for your House.”

MO: “I don’t care.”

DM: “Minus 10 more points for not caring.”

MO: (rolls eyes)

Me: “You know, Son, we’re all in the same house. Taking away points from your family members doesn’t really make much sense.”

DM: (long pause)

DM: “Minus 10 points for Dad.”
