Home today with sick kiddo, who spent hours last night re-enacting The Exorcist split pea soup scene.
But apparently some sleep and some TLC… and 2 hours of My Little Pony… seem to have her on the mend.
In fact, she’s currently trying on outfits to go out dancing with Mama tonight.
I’m staying home to makeup some of that sleep I lost last night.
Parenting. Sigh.
D&D with the kids… Free.
Funny accent when pretending to be a goblin… Free.
Disbanding a gang of local ruffians… Free.
Lucky surprise sneak attack completely defeating the gang’s wizard leader in 30 seconds instead of the hour of combat I had planned… Free.
An evening interacting with my kids instead of us all staring at electronic screens: PRICELESS
My Oldest, age 13: “I accidentally put the dog’s pajamas on her backwards. For the record, it’s really hard to take off dog pajamas while the dog is trying to kill you.”
Me: “I’m on the dog’s side on this one.”
Oldest: “You never support my hobbies.”
